Observed outdoor walk in freezer that, per staff, is at least ten years old or more. Membrane top was added after the original installation due to roof leaks. Outdoor walk in freezer lacks an air curtain over the main door that opens directly outside. Provide appropriate vermin exclusion for the outdoor walk in freezer. Condensate line also appears to terminate / drain directly onto the ground immediately behind the unit. Evaluate if a permanent roofing type structure may also be needed over this unit for appropriate weatherization protection.

Please contact Shannon.Warkentin@countyofmerced.com for additional information regarding outdoor cooler/freezer installation requirements.
