5-13-2020 The potable water supply shall be protected with a backflow or back siphonage protection device, as required by applicable plumbing codes. (114192) All plumbing and plumbing fixtures shall be installed in compliance with local plumbing ordinances, shall be maintained so as to prevent any contamination, and shall be kept clean, fully operative, and in good repair. Any hose used for conveying potable water shall be of approved materials, labeled, properly stored, and used for no other purpose. Any food is adulterated if it bears or contains any poisonous or deleterious substance that may render it impure or injurious to health. Destroy all contaminated, adulterated and spoiled food. Observed red baggie tie inside ice bin area of ice maker. Discard all contaminated ice. Crushed, cubed, or shaved ice, intended for human consumption, shall be stored in a manner that prevents its pollution or contamination. Ice used in beverages shall be protected from contamination and shall be maintained separate from ice used for refrigeration purposes. (ref Sherman 110995(d))

Monitor ice machine to ensure bin is kept closed, and items are not allowed to contaminate ice intended for human consumption. Employee immediately scooped out baggie tie with surrounding ice, discarded. Corrected during inspection.
