Observed red baggie tie inside ice bin area of ice maker. Discard all contaminated ice. Crushed, cubed, or shaved ice, intended for human consumption, shall be stored in a manner that prevents its pollution or contamination. Ice used in beverages shall be protected from contamination and shall be maintained separate from ice used for refrigeration purposes. (ref Sherman 110995(d))
Monitor ice machine to ensure bin is kept closed, and items are not allowed to contaminate ice intended for human consumption. Employee immediately scooped out baggie tie with surrounding ice, discarded. Corrected during inspection.
